One of the most unknown routes in Galicia is one of the most beautiful indeed. We are talking about pazos and camelias, two local features in this land. But, how can we describe a pazo?
A pazo is a typical construction in the Northern part of Spain, in the middle of the countryside; and always linked with the aristocracy and nobility. Besides the luxurious rooms, we can visit an uncountable number of facilities. More than 700 pazos are registered in Galicia.
But the colorful secret that makes this pazo unique are the camellias, a flower originally brought from Asia that has found its place in these lands. Its incredible benefits in beauty treatments are well known around the world and that’s why they even elaborate its own products such as moisturizers and soaps. We can find more than 4,500 plants in just one garden.
Let’s impress you with this special tour created by Marly Olé. Not only you will adore the cultural part of the tour but also the vineyards, one of the most importants in the region.
To complete this win-win experience, we’ll visit a Pazo where we will enjoy a food and wine pairing with one of the most exclusive, richful white wines of the Galician region: Albariño.
After this day full of adventures, we’ll head back to Santiago to enjoy the rest of the day in this amazing city.
